Martha Perea Turner passed away on July 10, 2014 surrounded by her loving family after a long illness.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father John Weber, Pastor officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Martha was born June 9, 1935 in Silver City, NM to Ramon and Simona Perea. She lived in Silver City and Lordsburg most of her life. Martha worked many years in Lordsburg and it also is where she raised her children. Her children, family and music were her greatest joys in life.

She is survived by her sister Aurelia, her children; Billy Turner, Elizabeth and Lennie Socash, Rose Mary and Ernie Rodriguez, Jerry and Lupe Turner, Lucy and Manuel Bejarano, Larry Turner, Leslie Turner, Terry Ruiz, Emily Nunez, Eddie Barka and Tregon Turner. Twenty-four grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew and cousins and her beloved dogs Chico, Guerro and Bow Wow.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Simona, siblings; Sammy Perea, Richard Perea, and Reynaldo Perea and husband Tony Morales.
