Corinne Acosta Rivera, 66, a resident of Silver City, entered eternal rest Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will begin at 5 O'clock in the evening Monday, July 28, 2014 at Baca's Funeral Chapels. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock by Deacon Bill Holguin. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 10 o'clock in the morning at St. Francis Newman Center Parish, Father Anthony Basso officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Corinne was born March 6, 1948 in Silver City to Jose M. Acosta and Velia Jacquez Smith. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandchildren and her dogs. She was an avid hunter. She loved to go hunting and fishing and enjoyed the outdoors. She also loved to play bingo.

She is survived by her mother, Velia J. Smith of Silver City, one brother, George Acosta (Cecilia) of Silver City, one sister Belinda Acosta (Henry) of Tucson, AZ., three sons, Joe Acosta of Safford, AZ., Lorenzo Rivera of Silver City and Jeremy Rivera (Yolanda) of Farmington, daughters-in-law, Cynthia Acosta and Rachel Rivera, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, two special friends Clara Polanco and Patsy Waian.

She is preceded in death by her father Jose Acosta, one sister Mary Acosta and her son Fred Acosta.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob and Joe Acosta, Ben and Delbert Crum, Jeremy and Lorenzo Rivera. Honorary pallbearers will be George Acosta, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and the rest of her family and friends
