Violet Ethel (Clemons) Dilks Miller, 97 a resident of Silver passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Silver City Care Center surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of the Life of this extra ordinary woman will be on Friday, August 1, 2014 at four o'clock in the afternoon at Baca's Funeral Chapels with Danny Castillo officiating. At her request cremation will take place at Baca's Silver City Crematory and inurnment will take place at a later date.

Violet was born December 16, 1916 in Chester County Warwick Township, Pennsylvania to Joseph Logan and Elva Heck Clemons. She was the last of her 7 siblings. She was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt and friend.

Violet is survived by her oldest son John P. Dilks Sr (Barbara) of Wallingford, Connecticut, her oldest daughter Suzanne Dilks of Silver City and young daughter Laura Thompson (Kevin Hickman) of San Antonio, Texas and daughter-in-law, Margie Miller of Silver City. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Kari Jo Miller of Albuquerque, Jacob Thompson (Ashley) of Friendswood, TX Charlotte of San Antonio, TX., Jeffrey Thompson (Alaina) of Houston, TX., and great-granddaughter Bailey of Friendswood, TX., niece Erika Miller, (Michael) and children; Karaline and Michael Jr. of Reading, PA., and long-time friend Ruth Gomez of Las Cruces and loyal friend and caregiver, Christine Walford of Silver City.

She is preceded in death by her sons Roger Dilks (infant), William J. Miller Jr. and Frank L. Miller.
