Richard Louis Jones, 66, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Gila Regional Medical Center. 

He was born November 23, 1947 in Fort Worth, TX to John Louis Jones and Norma Jean Wilson.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycles, collecting rocks and gems, hiking with his dog Prince, writing stories and poems and spending time serving the Lord.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grand-kids.  He was in the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam.  He retired from Boeing in Seattle, WA. 

He is survived by one son, Brian Jones of Silver City; one daughter, Shannon Rivera and husband Steve of Silver City; five grandchildren, Isaiah, Joseph, Jacob, James and Julia Rivera; one brother, Robert Jones of Jenks, OK; two sisters, Diana Markham and husband David of Keller, TX; Nancy Parvin and husband Ricky of Keller, TX; nieces and nephews, Chris Parvin, Amy Keller, Renee Hobbs, Scott Parvin and Elizabeth Atkins; cousin and best friend, Jerrell Jones and wife Charlene of Oklahoma City, OK. 

Viewing will be celebrated Wednesday, July 30, from 5-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the Funeral Service to begin at 6:30pm with Pastor Joseph Gros officiating.  Interment will be taking place Saturday, August 2 at 10am at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth, TX.
