Joan Denise Donnan, 61 completed her journey on August 7, 2014 in Silver City, NM.

Born April 15, 1953, in St. Johns, AZ to Joann and Emil, later adopted by Frank David Hoagland. Throughout her life she resided in many states, including Maryland, Illinois, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, California, Washington, Florida, Michigan, and Idaho. Her light shined on all everywhere she went. She grew from her trials and endured to the end. Joan lived her life committed to treating others with kindness, respect, trust, truth, and friendship. A perfect example of how to treat one another. Her daily activities instilled her values in her family. Her many talents ranged from a BS in Elementary Education to Pharmaceutical Technician to CDL semi-truck driving. She had a compassion for learning, sharing, caring, traveling, being active, and enjoying the outdoors.

She is a loving sibling of Sharon, Julie, and Hank. A nurturing mother to five children, Jeremy, Shannon, Valerie, Tammy, and Jessica, 15 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Joan was a very beautiful, vibrant, and inspirational woman loved my many. Her untamed, wild spirit guided her to reach out to everyone she crossed paths with. She had a special spirit that everyone could feel when they were around her. She never said an unkind thing and always helped everyone feel good and comforted. She will be missed and remembered. Thank you all to those who knew her and reciprocate her friendship, service to fellow man, and love. Forever in our hearts, Mother, We Love you, Jeremy, Shannon, Valerie, Tammy and Jessica.
