Robert A. "Bobby" McGee passed away at his home on Sept. 16, 2014, following a long battle with multiple health issues.

He was predeceased by his parents, Susan McGee and Michael McGee; brother, Timmy McGee; and his grandfather, Tex Lowry.

Mr. McGee lived his life in Hurley and Silver City, and attended Silver High School. In earlier years he worked for EMS Inc. He was a diligent and hard worker who took pride in his work, his home, and a very special car. He loved his music and always had a stereo, iPod or iPad "bumping" his favorite tunes. He also loved to dance and enjoyed watching races on TV. He had two special pets, Daisy and Jasper.

He is survived by his grandmother, Doris "MeMe" Lowry; and his aunts and uncles, Kris and Ray Lowry, Sandy and Dave Lowry, Karen and Warren Brower, Darlene and Joe Ramirez, Gayle Lowry, and Shirley and Gary Townsend. He also had one stepbrother, Mike McGee, and two stepsisters, Genie and Dina. He was loved by all of his cousins and he greatly enjoyed getting to visit and hang out with everyone at family gatherings. He is also survived by two very special friends, Barry Agnew and Julie Ramirez, as well as many friends and his caregivers from UMC in Tucson, Ariz.

Much of Mr. McGee¹s life was a struggle as he endured extreme health problems from an early age, but he was forever a fighter and an inspiration to those who were fortunate enough to be close to him. He was a gentle spirit, soft-spoken and sweet. During his long stay in the hospital his great wish was to go home. And he did get to spend his last days at his home. He will be greatly missed.
