Abel H. Carrasco, 55, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Silver City Care Center.

He was born July 2, 1959 in Carlsbad, NM to Samuel and Teresa Hinojos Carrasco.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Carrasco of the family home; his mother, Teresa Carrasco of Santa Clara; two daughters, Angelina Carrasco of Silver City; Amanda Carrasco of Silver City; three grandchildren, Neela, Liezel and Abelia Vasquez; five sisters, Jane Caballero (Lucio) of Deming; Cathy Carrasco of Carlsbad; Melinda Estrada of Carlsbad; Diana C. Carrasco (Lalo) of Santa Clara; Lupita Clifton of Silver City; three brothers, Daniel Carrasco of Loving; Alfredo Carrasco (Jennifer) of Carlsbad; Gabriel Carrasco (Gloria) of Loving.

He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Sammy Carrasco; one sister, Manuela Carrasco.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 1 from 5-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the vigil service and holy rosary to begin at 6pm with Carmen Terrazas reciting. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, October 2 at 9:30am at St. Vincent Catholic Church with Father Rod Nichols officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with full military honors.

Pallbearers will be Marty Garcia Jr., Jeremy and Julian Carrasco, Albert Padilla, Dave Young and Juan Estrada. Honorary pallbearers will be all his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and all his friends.
