Margie L. Livingston, 82, a longtime resident of Lordsburg passed away Friday September 26, 2014 at Sierra Medical Center in El Paso.

Visitation will be this Tuesday September 30, 2014 at 10 o'clock at The First Baptist Church where funeral services will begin at 11 with Reverend Will Lackey, Pastor officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.

Margie was born December 31, 1931 in Silver City to Floyd Melvin and Dorothy Bednorz Myers. Over the years she lived in several areas of the Southwest including Columbus where she worked at the local bar and the Columbus Utility Department, in Hachita she worked at the Café and Bar and in Playas she worked at the Playas Bowling Alley and the Playas Utility Department. Upon moving to Lordsburg in 1984 Margie drove the local School Bus and was also active with the Girl and Cub Scouts and the Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Montez (Vicente) of Rio Rancho, NM, Donna Crouch (Bill) of Radium Springs, NM; 7 grandchildren, Carla Malone, Russell Fallis, Will W.O. Fallis, Gina Fallis, Delane Dunagan, Charla Turner, and Leo Turner; and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Raymond T. Smith, second husband W.P. "Bill" Livingston, son, Glen Ray Smith, and a brother, James Myers.
