Genoveva C. (Veva) Madrid, 95, resident of Ft. Bayard passed away September 27, 2014 at Ft. Bayard Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held from 5 o'clock to 6 o'clock in the evening Friday, October 3, 2014 at Baca's Funeral Chapels. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock by Dr. Gilbert Arizaga. The Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 o'clock in the morning at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with concluding services and interment following at Memory Lane Cemetery, Father Roberto Barreto officiating.

Genoveva was born September 27, 1919 in Mimbres to Juana Torrez and Luis Castillo. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and a member Guadalupanas.

She is survived by two Sons; Gilbert C. Madrid (Helen) from Bayard and Willie C. Mardrid (Patricia) from Tucson, Az., three daughters; Minnie Villalobos from Ft. Bayard, Lina Madrid from Las Cruces and Esther Welcome (William) from Bayard. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great-grandchildren, her closest nieces and nephews; Mariana Rios, Rufina Maruffo, Alfredo and Falivio Gonzales, Sammy, Ruben and Urbano Carassco, numerous nieces and nephew and friend spiritual healer Shirley Ortiz.

She is preceded in death by her parents, father of her children, Willie W. Madrid, two daughters; Frances and Susie, brothers; Martin Parra and Luis Castillo, sisters; Quqina Martinez, Luz Gonzales, Maltida Rascon, Oflilia Carassco, Ramona Pena, son-in-law Concepcion (Chon) Villalobos.

Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons; David S. and David Thomas Borunda, Ramon M. and Chonito Jr.Villalobos, Micheal N. Madrid and James Fresquez. Honorary pallbearers are the rest of her grandchildren and Unit C of Ft. Bayard Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers per her wishes donations to be made to the Guadalupanas Society of Bayard in her name. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels.
