Francisca Calderon Garza, 85, of Hurley, NM passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at Fort Bayard Medical Center.

A Visitation will be held at Bright Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 5:00pm following a Rosary Recital beginning at 6:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be at Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Hurley, NM on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 10:00am with Father Paulus Kao officiating.

Francisca was born in Hurley, New Mexico her parents Jesus and Dolores Calderon. She is survived by two daughters Rosie G. (Eddie) Gonzales of Silver City, NM, Margaret G. (Louie) Ortega of Silver City, NM, one son Miguel C. Garza III (Shelli) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Nine grandchildren, Thirteen great-grandchildren, Six great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Miguel Garza, one son Andres C. Garza, two brothers and four sisters. Francisca retired from Kennecott Copper Corporation. A hard working person, our mother was a true home maker; she also enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting for the family. She enjoyed camping and fishing. Enjoyed playing card games with her grandchildren. She will be truly missed.

Pallbearers are Michael Gonzales, Juan Cordero, Donald Gonzales, Tommy Gonzales, Estevan Ortega, Anthony Ortega and Eric Senter.
