rmando B Miranda Sr, 86, on Monday, October 27, 2014 entered the glory of heaven, blessed in the presence of our LORD at his home. He is now in the company of his parents and his beloved wife Alice, his two daughters; Lillian Ponce and Sally Sierra. He was a lifetime resident of Silver City.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Rod Nichols officiating. Concluding services and inurnment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery with full military honors.

He was born on March 28, 1928 in Silver City, New Mexico to Francisco and Epifania Miranda. He loved his wife of 65 years very much. He was a devout Catholic. He joined the US Marine Corp at the age of 17. He served in WWII. He was an employee at Kennecott Corp. for 30 years. He loved spending time with all his family and friends. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed being a handyman, and visiting with family and friends. He will truly be missed by all his family and friends.

He is survived by his two sons Armando Miranda Jr. and wife Diane and Archie Miranda; his brother Frank Miranda and wife Lilly and sister Charlotte Milan; grandchildren Samantha Madrid, Abie and Danny Miranda, Veronica Hernandez, Fabian Miranda, Robert and Mowie Ponce, Steven Miranda, Armanda Stroman, April Quiroz, Matthew Miranda-Sierra, Gabriel Sierra and Verizza Miranda-Chavez and many great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Epifania Miranda and his beloved wife Alice Miranda and his two daughters Lillian Ponce and Sally Sierra.
