John P. Muñoz, 51, a resident of Carlsbad, NM formerly of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in Jal, NM.

He was born May 15, 1963 in Silver City, NM to Angel and Anita Padilla Muñoz. He is survived by two sons, Adam J. Muñoz (Tina) of Silver City; Casey Muñoz of Silver City; one daughter, Amanda Garcia of Los Lunas; his father, Angel Muñoz of Silver City; his companion, Socorro Romero and her children; four grandchildren, Delilah, Kyndall, Renazmay and Christine; three sisters, Carol Diaz of Silver City; Jeannette Valencia and companion Andy Leyba of Silver City; Elain Rubio (Robert) of Silver City.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita P. Muñoz (2013).

Visitation will be Monday, November 24 from 5-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil and holy rosary beginning at 6pm with Deacon Bill Holguin reciting. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 25 at 11am at St. Francis Newman Center with Father Anthony Basso officiating. Cremation will follow service. Pallbearers will be Casey and Adam Muñoz, Avery, Joshua and Brandon Valencia and Matthew Rubio. Honorary pallbearers will be Amanda Garcia and the rest of his family and friends.
