Hector H. Ibarra Jr., 35, a lifelong resident of Lordsburg passed away Saturday November 29, 2014 in Lordsburg surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be Wednesday December 3, 2014 at 5 o'clock at St. Joseph's Catholic Church where a prayer vigil will begin at 6 o'clock that evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday morning at 10 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. John Weber, Pastor officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.

Hector was born July 5, 1979 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Hector and Maria Teresa (Ornelas) Ibarra. He graduated from Lordsburg High School in 1998 and later began working in the mining industry as a pipefitter. He enjoyed being in the outdoors while hunting and fishing and also loved music and dancing. His family remembers him as always enjoying life and being the ultimate prankster to those who knew him. Hector was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his parents, Hector and Maria Teresa (Shorty) Ibarra of Lordsburg; his maternal grandmother, Esperanza of Arenas Valley, NM; children, Hector Ibarra III, Michael Ibarra, and Allie Rae Ibarra all of Albuquerque; sisters, Nickie Ibarra of Casa Grande, AZ, Melissa Diaz of Denver, CO; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Newell Jr., Greg Lopez, Manuel DePorto, Jr., Eddie Ornelas Jr., Joshua Williams, Jonus Contreras, Eric Stevens and Chris Elwood.
