Eddie Joe Baca, 65, a resident of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Gila Regional Medical Center.

He was born August 21, 1949 in Silver City, NM to Richard M. and Patty Peru Baca. He was a loving son, husband of 46 yrs, wonderful father and grandfather. Family was the most important to him. His grandchildren were the joy of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara of the family home; his mother, Patty P. Baca of Santa Clara; two sons, Eddie Joe Baca Jr. of Hurley; Ron and Estela Baca; two daughters, Elizabeth Baca of Hurley; Lucy Chavez of Rio Rancho; eleven grandchildren, Joseph Chavez Jr., Chelsea Heckler, Christopher Baca, Alisha Baca, Jordan Chavez, Vanessa Baca, Ronnie Baca Jr., Jezreal Baca, Evelyn Baca and Madilyn Jimenez; four great grandchildren, Nevaeh Renee Muniz, Devon Zion Baca, Syniah Jolie Sierra and Sophia Renee Chavez; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Jose Baca; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Pete Peru; special cousin, Kathy Ryan; also numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, one grandson, Zion Baca.

Visitation will be Friday, December 5 from 5-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the holy rosary to begin at 6pm with Father Robert Becerra reciting. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 6 at 10am at Santa Clara Catholic Church with Father Robert Becerra officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph Chavez Jr., Christopher Baca, Jordan Chavez, Ronnie Baca Jr., Jezreal Baca, Jesse Baca and Angel Peru. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
