Patricia P. Neal, 90, a resident of Bayard, NM passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her residence.

She was born August 6, 1924 in Birmingham, Alabama to David Dickerson Pittman and Eunice Brooks Pittman. A graduate of Birmingham Southern University, her professional career in her earlier years included teaching at the American School in Quito, Ecuador and later at Brenau College at Gainesville, Georgia, both places of many fond memories. She later got an offer to teach at Western New Mexico University and also met Joe M. Neal who she was married to until his death on Dec. 20, 2013. They were both active members of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Silver City along with many other organizations and business ventures at the time.

She is survived by one son, Robert; one brother-in-law, Andrew J. Neal and wife Connie of Tucson, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews and many cherished friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and many relatives and in-laws.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later announced date.

Cremation has taken place at Terrazas Crematory. Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels and Crematory.
