Nazario T. "Chayo" Molina, 91, lifetime Deming resident, passed away Friday Dec. 26, 2014 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be Monday Dec. 29 from 3 to until 5 in the afternoon at Baca's Funeral Chapels and the rosary service will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening at St. Ann Catholic Church with Fr. Enrique Lopez Escalera presiding. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning Dec. 30th at 10 o'clock also at St. Ann's Church with Fr. Manuel F. Ibarra, Pastor, officiating. The rite of committal and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery with veteran honors accorded.

"Chayo", as he was affectionately known, was born August 28, 1923 in Deming to Filomena Torres and Francisco Molina. He attended Deming Schools and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. In September of 1942 he married Maria Jesus Armendariz in Deming. He was a communicant at St. Ann's Catholic Church and worked in the area all of his life retiring from Phelps-Dodge Corporation several years ago. He was devoted to his entire family and spent his last Christmas with all of his family in the comfort of his home.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Jesus Molina of the home; 3 sons, Dr. Roberto (Rosa) Molina, Dr. Reymundo (Carmen) Molina and Ricardo (Teresa) Molina of Deming, 2 daughters, Olga (Joe) Fresquez, Albuquerque and Dina (Curt) Russell, Deming; 2 sisters, Lucy Rusch, Las Cruces and Anne Valverde, Los Alamos; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Nazario 'Sonny" Molina" in 1995; 5 brothers, Frank, Rafael, Hignio, William and Refugio Molina and a sister, Margaret Mc Nutt Collins.

Serving as pallbearers will be Andres, Dr. Marco, Reymundo Carlo and Carlo Ray Molina, Art Garcia and Roberto Montoya.
