Charles J Marquez, 47, a resident of Silver City, passed away Monday, Jan. 19, 2015. Mr. Marquez was born and raised in Silver City NM. He attended Silver High School and graduated in 1985.

He served our country in the United States Navy between August 1985 thru November 1992. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from WNMU in December 1993. He then pursued a career as the Director of Downtown Development in Gallup NM, and relocated to Albuquerque NM where he was employed by KB homes as a Real-estate Agent.Prior to his passing Charles was employed by Silver Consolidated Schools as a Substitute Teacher.

Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Arizaga, grandson, Vincent Arizaga, his mother, Lorraine Marquez, three brothers, Steven Marquez, Robert Marquez and Donna, Frank Marquez and Victoria, and three nephews and one niece. Mr. Marquez was preceded in death by his father, Charles G Marquez, grandparents, Eddie and Natalia Triviso and Frank and Angie Aguayo.

The Prayer Vigil will begin at 6pm. Sunday the 25th of January at Terrazas Funeral Chapels, led by Deacon Bill Holguin. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Monday the 26th of January at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Silver City, with Father Tony Basso officiating. Cremation will follow at Terrazas Crematory.
