Acel Bernard Richardson, Sr., 93, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, January 17, 2015 with his family at his side.

Bernard was born in Duncan, Arizona to Ray and Verna Richardson and is a descendant with a rich heritage of the Mormon Mexico Colonies. As a young man he served in the Spanish American Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He also, honorably served his country in the Navy and is a WWII veteran.

Bernard is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Margueritt Joyce Richardson, their six children and spouses, Ann and Ronnie Rollins, Sonny and Rhonda Richardson, Chad and Janet Richardson, David and Carolyn Richardson, Bruce and Michelle Richardson, 28 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, three brothers and their spouses, Cecil and Lavona Richardson, Chet and Evelyn Richardson, Jorth and Peggy Richardson.

Bernard has left a wonderful legacy of love by living his life following our Savior's example and has taught his posterity to come unto Christ. We will celebrate his life on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Old LDS Church in Virden, New Mexico. Viewing will be at 12:00 noon.
