Frances Valverde went to be with her dear Savior Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Sage Crest Nursing Center in Las Cruces.

The funeral service will be Saturday morning, January 24, 2015 at 10 o'clock at Baca's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerrold F. Lawson officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

She was born on July 19, 1925 in New Holland, South Carolina to Fred Quitman Hydrick and Thelma Jane Lybrand Hydrick. Frances' mother died when she was two years old . She was raised by her beloved grandmother, Mamie Clayton Lybrand, who was like a mother to her.

Frances is survived by a son, Danny (Yvonne) Valverde; 2 daughters, Susan Castle and Karen Valverde; her grandchildren whom she loved so much included, Heather Valverde, Alisha Valverde, Matthew (Leticia) Valverde, Marie (Kevin) Valverde, Mark Valverde, Aimee (Nathan) Lawson, Jess (Rachel) Castle, Daniel (Courtney) Castle, Jacob (Sarah) Barrio and Micah Barrio. She was blessed with 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Jimmy (Wilma) Hydrick of Summerville, South Carolina and Ray Hydrick of Aiken, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by a son, Alan Valverde, her grandparents, parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Frances married Dan Valverde on March 4, 1944 in South Carolina. They moved to Deming in 1945 where she was a stay-at-home mom until the mid '60's. She worked for the Royal Stamp Store and also for the State Highway Department from where she retired. For 30 years, Frances was well known as a local Avon representative earning and winning several awards for her customer service and accomplishments. She thoroughly enjoyed selling to her Avon customers which also gave her opportunities to pray for them and invite them to church.

Frances accepted the Lord into her life, she opened her home to prayer groups and church gatherings. Many people came to the Lord because of her service to Him. Her true gift from the Lord was serving and giving. She always gave above and beyond. She loved hosting baby showers, birthday and holiday dinners. Frances never stopped giving. She loved giving birthday gifts and she made many baby blankets for many babies in Deming. At Christmas time, her gift giving was almost unstoppable. She was such a blessing to so many people and will truly be missed.

We love you, Mama. Your family and friends rejoice at your homecoming.

Pallbearers will be her 6 grandsons, Matt and Mark Valverde, Jesse and Daniel Castle, Jacob and Micah Barrio.
