Rolando "Gangas" Ortega Jacquez, 66, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, February 5, 2015 at University Medical Center in Tucson, AZ.

He was born November 2, 1948 in Silver City to Santiago D. and Maria (Ortega) Jacquez.

He is survived by one daughter, Theresa Peña and husband David of Colorado Springs, CO; seven grandchildren, Anthony, Celina, Sylvia, Angelo, Raymond, Rolando and Julian; three brothers, Rudy Jacquez and wife Linda of Silver City; Armando Jacquez and wife Norma of Silver City; Fidel Jacquez and wife Dolores of Las Vegas, NV; five sisters, Priscilla Gomez of Silver City; Mary Ann Ortiz and husband Pete of Silver City; Lupe Barragan of Silver City; Alicia Carrasco of Silver City; Delia Garcia of Silver City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Beatrice (2014); three brothers, Tony Jacquez, Santiago and Bobby Jacquez; three sisters, Molly Altamirano, Rita Provencio and Rachael Montes.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 12, from 10-11 am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the Funeral Service with full military honors to begin at 11 am with Mark Fisher officiating. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
