Bill Wesbrooks, 89, a longtime resident of Deming, passed away Friday February 20, 2015 at Willow Manor in Deming.

A memorial service will be Tuesday February 24, 2015 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at the First United Methodist Church with Ernie Vineyard, Pastor officiating. Cremation has taken place at Baca's Mimbres Crematory.

Bill was born August 28, 1925 in Cambridge, Kansas to Hollis and Rhoda (Sumner) Wesbrooks. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII and afterward came to Deming in 1953. He was a teacher and later a principal with the Deming Elementary Schools where he worked for 36 years.

Bill is survived by his wife Joyce of Deming; sons, William W. Wesbrooks and his spouse Dallett Norris of New York City, New York, Wesley H. Wesbrooks of Tijeras, New Mexico; brother, Bob Wesbrooks of Grove, Oklahoma, 3 "grandchildren", J.J., Ryan and Robert Sweetser; and numerous nieces and nephews.
