Cruz Ferranti, 90, entered into Eternal rest Thursday March 5, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held at 5 o'clock in the evening Wednesday, March11, 2015 at Baca's Funeral Chapels with the Holy Rosary recited at 6 o'clock by Deacon Bill Holguin. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 o'clock in the morning Thursday, March 12, 2015 at St. Francis Newman Center Parish officiating is Father Anthony Basso. Concluding services and interment will follow at Pinos Altos Cemetery.

Cruz was born January 23, 1925 to Ricardo Ray and Eugenia Torres in Pinos Altos. She was a life-long resident of Grant County, She enjoyed cooking as she was a cook at El Grito Head start. Cruz was the youngest of 8 daughters and was the last one of the Ray family. Her special person whom she loved and enjoyed visiting with was her great nephew, Gibby Delgado.

She is survived by her son, Larry Ferranti of Silver City; daughters, Pat Casey of San Francisco, CA and Genie Cortez of Missouri; sister -in-law, Senouia Ray; 10 grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Marianna Munoz, Ruth Ybarra, Helen Mata, Isabel Mitchell, Mary Gilbert, Lola Quintemeyer and two brothers, Ricardo Ray and Joe T. Ray Sr. and a Son, Timothey Ferranti.

Serving as pallbearer are Larry Ferranti, Richard Ray, Vincent Ferranti, Brandon Cameron, Phillip Ray and Jose A. Ray.

Honorary pallbearer will be Gibby Delgado.
