Mary Lou Trujillo was at her home when she went to meet the Lord peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 88 on March 8, 2015.

She was born October 31, 1926 in Fort Bayard, NM. Mary Lou was employed by Kennecott Copper Corporation in the 1940's as a mail carrier. She also enjoyed working for the Senior Services which gave her the opportunity to help other seniors.

Mary Lou is survived by her loving and devoted husband Pete; they were married for 70 years; her son Alex (Barbara); daughter Anna Lopez (John) and son Pete Trujillo Jr. Mary Lou also has two granddaughters, Stephanie Olivares (Daniel) and Jennifer Millan and companion Tommy Gonzales who love her very much. She also has three great-grandchildren who adore her, Justyce Millan, Xavier and Darryk Olivares; sister, Estella Enriquez; brother, Elijio (Lico) Lopez Jr.; sister, Rita Ramirez; sister, Helen Gaitan (Frank) all of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Bobby Lopez (Connie) of California; a very special cousin, Consuelo (Chelo) Higuera (Hannibal) and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijio and Juanita Lopez.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 12, from 6-7 pm with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to follow at 7 pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Deacon Jerry Miller reciting. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated Friday, March 13 at 11:30am at Infant Jesus Catholic Shrine with Father Roberto Barreto officiating. Interment will follow at 1pm at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Olivares, Tommy Gonzales, John Lopez, Eugene McPeek, Elijio (Lico) Lopez and Reynie Chanez. Honorary pallbearer will be Hannibal Higuera.

Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels.
