Ora B. Scheibley 87 of Silver City, New Mexico passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Beehive Homes in Deming, New Mexico surrounded by her loved one. A Memorial Service will be held at Bright Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at _____. Inurnment will be in Burnside, Penn. Mrs Scheibley is survived by her husband John Scheibley of Silver City, NM., one sister Marie Houck from State College, PA, one sister-in-law Mary Bennett from Detroit, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her parents Blain and Mabel Fuller Bennett, two brothers George Bennett his wife Helen and Leo Bennett. Ora graduated from Pine Township High School in Western, PA in 1947. Graduated from United Wesleyan College in 1956 with Bachelor of Religious Education Degree. Taught school in Southern New Jersey from 1956 to 1961. Served as Dean of Women at United Westeyan College from 1961 to 1966. Taught school in Franklin Township School in Broadway, New Jersey from 1966-1986. Ora retired in Silver City, NM in 1986. Her interests were in music, poetry, reading, traveling, camping, hiking, volunteering at Silver City Care Center by leading Sing Along and Memory Sharing.
