Judi LechnerJudi D. Lechner, 39, went to be with the Lord Tuesday March 31, 2015 at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City. Visitation will be Tuesday April 7, 2015 from 5 to 6 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church where a prayer vigil will begin at 6 o'clock with Alice Ramirez leading the vigil service. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Machado officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.

Judi, known to many as "Koko", was born July 15, 1975 in Silver City and was a 1993 graduate of Lordsburg High School. She earned a Bachelor's degree in accounting at Western New Mexico University and most recently was an Instructional Assistant with the Lordsburg Public Schools.

She enjoyed scrapbooking, dancing, and listening to anything by George Strait. Judi was an avid New York Yankee and Lordsburg Maverick fan and always enjoyed watching her children in their sporting events as they grew up.

She is survived by her husband, Gamel Lechner of Lordsburg; her children, Courtney DeFoor, Tyler DeFoor and Cameron DeFoor all of Lordsburg; her stepson, Nathan Mazzella of Port Jervis, NY; mother and stepfather, Judy Hackworth and John of Lordsburg; sisters, Nikki Lopez of El Paso, TX, Adrianne Piedra (David) of Lordsburg, Jewelee Lopez of Las Vegas, NV, Kaitlin Hackworth of Lordsburg; her maternal grandmother, Mary Montoya of Lordsburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Luis L. Lopez and by her maternal grandfather, Manuel Montoya. Pallbearers will be Robby Gonzalez, Christian Montoya, Zachary Montoya, Daryl Davis, Shawn Liebelt, and Chris Elwood. Honorary bearer is Billy Gonzales.
