MICHAEL D. GOTTSCHLING, 76, a former resident of Deming passed away Thursday April 9, 2015 in Deming while visiting.

A memorial service will be Saturday April 25, 2015 at 11 o'clock in the morning at the Geisen Funeral Home, 606 East 113th Avenue, Crown Point, Indiana 46307. Cremation will take place at Baca's Mimbres Crematory in Deming.

Michael was born August 5, 1938 in Gary, Indiana to Michael and Beulah (Lisius) Gottschling. He was a salesman for Levi Strauss Company until his retirement and afterward owned and operated the Cedar Inn in Minneapolis, Minnesota for about 10 years. Michael was a member of the Elks Lodge, The Loyal Order of Moose, and the Sons of the American Legion. Locally he was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and had recently moved to Buford, Georgia to be near his family.

He is survived by his sons, Michael J. Gottschling (Bonnie) of Buford, GA, Ron Gottschling (Jeanne) of Egan, MN, Kevin Gottschling (Jennifer) of Las Vegas, NV; his brother, Jay Gottschling (Kathy) of Crown Point, IN; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
