ALICE MILO, 67, a lifelong resident of Deming passed away Saturday April 11, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family

A prayer vigil will be this Friday, April 17, 2015 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at Holy Family Catholic Church to be led by Luanne Bustamante. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2 o'clock with Fr. Ron Machado, Pastor officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.

Alice was born September 18, 1947 in Deming to Jesus F. and Maria (Garcia) Milo. She graduated from Deming High School in 1966 and worked at Kmart for 14 years in a management position. She later went to work with the U. S. Postal Service where she was employed for 18 years before retiring in August 2014. She loved to crochet, be outdoors, spend time with her family, and was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. After retirement Alice became an avid watcher of Judge Judy on television and was always a devoted band booster. Her family remembers her as a loving, kind, and compassionate person who enjoyed the friendship of everyone she met.

She is survived by her daughters, Mariah Milo (Juan), Annette Reyes (Mike) all of Deming, Melanie Reyes-Diaz (Chopper) of Las Cruces, Martha Dominguez and Margaret "Sunshine" Dominguez; brothers, Carl Milo (Delia) of Pleasanton, TX, Frank Milo (Delia) of Deming; her special friend Doris Remlein; numerous nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Maria, her brother, Juan Milo, her sister Jesusita "Susie" Dominguez, and uncle, Antonio S. Garcia.

Pallbearers will be Frank Peralta, Tony Dominguez, Anthony Milo, Justin Reyes, Mike Hatcher, and Agustin "Chopper" Diaz. Honorary bearers are Carl Milo, Frankie Milo, Tony Tapia, John Pelayo and Juan Lozano.
