Donald "Doc" Dodson, 72, of Hurley, NM passed away at his home on Friday, April 17, 2015. He was born July 18, 1943 in Santa Rita, NM to Carrie and George Dodson. He attended school at Bayard and graduated from Cobre High School in 1961.

He was a very active man up until his battle with cancer in the last year. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Wanda of 52 years; his daughter, Kelly Gatlin of Santa Fe; two grandsons, James Gatlin of Las Cruces and Garret Gatlin of Santa Fe; one brother, Oliver "Pooch" Dodson (Helen) of Deming; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Berdina "Punky" Rhea.

A Graveside Service being officiated by Roddy Rogers will be celebrated on Thursday, April 23 at Memory Lane Cemetery at 11am. Contributions can be made to the charity of your choice. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
