They relocated and made their family home in North Hurley, building their own home and raising three children. During her time on earth, Mary was a wonderful sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She had many jobs, but most notable, was the time she worked at the old Fort Bayard Hospital and Hacienda de Salud. She was a very good cook, with her favorite dishes including red and green chili. She was always quick to help a sick child with her home remedies. She loved her homemaking which included taking care of her husband, sewing and raising her family. Mary had many friends throughout Grant County. Other than her husband, the true love of her life was music. She was well known for her gift of singing, and up to her older years, she shared it in the Saint Vincent Catholic Church choir. Throughout her life, Mary loved many things: church, family, shopping, dancing, and especially cruising around Grant County.
