James Raymond Littleton, 74, of Aragon, New Mexico went to be with his Lord on May 9, 2015.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 O'clock in the morning Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Apache Creek Cemetery (Cruzville) 2 miles west of the Apache Creek Store on Hwy12 officiating Cal West.

James was born May 19, 1940 in Carrizozo, NM to Johnnie Raymond and Lillian (Brown) Littleton. He was the oldest of 4 children and attended Carrizozo Schools. On March 22, 1968 he married Rebecca "Becky" Hand Gensler at Carrizozo, they were married 37 years before she passed away in 2005. In his younger years he was an amazing calf roper and cowboy which he enjoyed doing. Throughout his life he was also a heavy equipment operator which he was well known for his expertise and the pride he took to do a great job. When he wasn't working he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed dearly by all his family and friends.

James is survived by his children, Jamie (Shane) Durkin of Lemitar; Walter (Sherry) Gensler of Carrizozo; Cheryl (Bob) Chapel of Lemitar; Karen (Sam) Seely of Corona; Brothers Grady (Sandy) Littleton of Silver City and Bud Littleton of Deming; Sister, Margaret Monroe of Silver City; his dear friend, Judy Kleinert of Wichita Falls, TX, 11 grandchildren, 5 great -grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Becky, his son and best friend Randy, and his adopted son by heart, Tait Short.
