Warren S. Peterson Jr., 72, a resident of Lordsburg, NM entered eternal rest Monday, May 18, 2015 at Silver City Care Center. He was born January 5, 1943 in Santa Barbara, CA to Warren S. Peterson Sr. And Susan A. Gutierrez. He is survived by his loving wife, Josie V. Peterson of the family home; five sons, Warren S. Peterson III of Safford, AZ; Lance Peterson (Kristi) of Maxwell, NM; David Peterson (Cheri) of Safford, AZ; Andrew Valenzuela of Lordsburg; Gerald Tavison Peterson of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters, Sonia Allen (Delbert) of Los Lunas, NM; Kathy Unruh (Ryan) of San Diego, CA; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; one sister, Denise Dieser (John) of CA; two brothers, Jim Peterson (Sharon) of Seattle, WA; Larry Peterson (Carol) of Santa Barbara, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Friday, May 22 from 9:30-10:15am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to begin at 10:15am with Father Robert Becerra reciting. The funeral liturgy will follow at 11am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Robert Becerra officiating. Concluding services interment will follow at Shakespeare cemetery. Pallbearers will be David, Stan and Lance Peterson, Andrew Valenzuela, Michael Bejarano and Daniel Cittadini. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry and Jim Peterson, Gerald Tavizon Peterson.
