Manny Aragon smManuel Aragon (Manny), 84 of Silver City, NM entered eternal life on Monday, May 18, 2015 in Las Cruces, NM.

Visitation will be held at Baca's Funeral Chapels at 5 O'clock in the evening Wednesday, May 27, 2015 with The Holy Rosary recited at 6 O'clock by Dr. Gilbert Arizaga. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 in the morning Thursday, May 28, 2015 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Rod Nichols officiating. Concluding services and inurnment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.

Manny was born April 27, 1931 in Winslow, Arizona to Desiderio and Blasita (Ballejos) Aragon. He was one of eleven siblings. He served in the Army during the Korean War until being honorably discharged in 1953. He then returned to the states eventually moving to Silver City where he met his future wife, Pat. Manny had a passion for barbering and established Manny's Barber Shop, a very successful business in Grant County for over 55 years. He truly loved his life in Grant County and the lifelong friends that he made. Manny served his community throughout his life in many ways. Manny was a man of faith, family and love. He was an active member of the Catholic community. He was proud of his children and their educational and professional accomplishments. He was always willing to offer words of wisdom, share stories of his kids and grandkids and talk about his unwavering appreciation and gratitude for having being blessed with a good life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia G. Aragon, daughter Kathryn Ward and husband Mike, son Steve Aragon and wife Cindy, all from Las Cruces, NM and son Rodney Aragon and wife Valerie from Pasco, Washington. Manny is also survived by his brother Paul Aragon of Temple, Texas. Manny has six grandchildren, Matthew, Eric, Keanna, Justice, Aaron, and Jason whom he considered the jewels in his crown. He also has numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
