Mercedes CarmonaMercedes de los Angeles Carmona, 77, reported home on Monday May 25th 2015 in Hurley, New Mexico.

A visitation will be held with the family on Tuesday evening, June 2nd 2015 from 7:00-8:30 in the evening at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located on Swan Street, Silver City. Concluding services and interment will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 11 O'clock in the morning at Central Cemetery near Safford, AZ.

She was born August 10th 1937 in San Marcos, Nicaragua. Although she never had the opportunity to go to school, as a young girl she taught herself how to read by meticulously going over any newspaper she could get a hold of. She had eleven children throughout her life, and she never shied away from hard work in order to support them and send them to school. She was very enterprising, selling bread and merchandise door to door and in the city marketplace of Managua. Even though she was born and lived in humble and trying circumstances, she did everything she could to bless her children with a better life than she received, and for this she is our hero. The most painful and difficult time in her life occurred when she lost her son, Victor, in the Nicaraguan Civil War. She is now reunited with him. Her faith in Jesus Christ sustained her, and she strived to follow Him throughout her life. Shortly before leaving this world she got to visit the United States and see for one last time two of her daughters, her yerno, and her young grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Mario, Sandra, Gustavo, Martha, Jeanette, Dennis, Eveling, Geoconda, Bigarni, and Kariana (Nathan) Schnebly. Also she is survived by a sister and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, William Omar "Victor" Robleto, husband Victor Manuel Robleto Barbarena, and her parents, brothers and sisters.
