Carmen Castillo Vega, 83, Deming resident passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be Thursday afternoon starting at 1 o'clock at the family home, 1607 E. Birch St., Deming. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Friday morning at 9:30 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Fr. Manuel Ibarra officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Carmen was born July 16, 1931 in Ignacio Allende, Mexico to Juana Castillo and Concepcion Vega. He was a Deming resident since 1980 coming from Mexico. Carmen worked on local farms in this area and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lidia Vega of Mexico; 3 sons, Hector , Humberto Vega both of Deming, Benjamin Vega of Mexico; 2 daughters, Enelia Vega of Mexico, Loreida Vega of New Jersey; 2 brothers, Rafael and Temo Vega both of Mexico; 2 sisters, Marta and Sivila Vega both of Mexico; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren..

He was preceded in death by his parents, Concepcion and Juana Vega.

Pallbearers will be Hector, Humberto, Humberto Vega Jr., Jesus Dominguez, Carlos Zamudio and Mario Ruiz III.
