Espiridion S. Martinez 86 a lifelong resident of San Lorenzo, NM entered eternal rest in his home Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 5 O'clock in the evening at Baca's Funeral Chapels. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 6 O'clock in the evening by Deacon Bill Holguin. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10 O'clock in the morning at San Lorenzo Catholic Church. Concluding services and internment will follow at San Lorenzo Cemetery with Father Roberto Barreto officiating.

He was born December 14, 1928 to Demetrio and Simona ( Sifuentes) Martinez in Limones Villa De La Paz, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He was the oldest of seven brothers and sisters. He came from Matehuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He worked as a ranch hand helper and later with UV Sharon Steele Mines where he retired. He enjoyed traveling, tending his garden and spending time with family and friends. He was loved by many and will be missed greatly.

He is survived by his children, Ronald Millan, Armando Martinez, Martha Arzola and husband Rick, Espiridion Martinez Jr., and wife Lynn, Mary Ann Gandara and husband Carlos Hernandez, Veronica Arciero and companion Jeramiah Muniz. Also surviving him are his 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren whom he was very proud of.

He is preceded in death by his wife Estella Martinez, parents; Demetrio and Simona Martinez and his brother Aucencio Martinez.

Serving as pallbearers are Speedy and Anthony Martinez, Ronald Millan, Nathan Chavez, Servando Suarez and Carlos Hernandez.
