Lewis Douglas Bush, 72, of Arenas Valley, NM passed away Friday, June 19, 2015. A Graveside Service will be held at Fort Bayard National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10:00am with Full Military Honors.

He was born in Kaufman, Texas, his parents Henry W. and Carline Lee Bush.

Lewis Bush is survived by Amanda Landrum of Reserve, NM; grandchildren are Ayasha, Dominick, Melanie, and Emily, five sisters and one brother.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and five sisters.

Lewis went to Forney High School in Texas, he was president of student council and he was a very popular in football. He attended Western New Mexico University received an Associate in Science in 1977.

He served in Vietnam as an AVRadTech as a cpl. In the Marine Corps. Lewis worked for Phelps Dodge as a heavy equipment operator, and then transferred to Tyrone where he retired. He was active with the American Legion. He was a dad and grandpa. He loved me and the kids so much, we were his whole life!! We spent lots of time fishing, hunting, and camping.
