Elpidia C. Torres, 90, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Friday, July 3, 2015 at Gila Regional Medical Center.

She was born December 2, 1924 in Gila, NM to Francisco Costales and Paubla Lopez. She is survived by one daughter, Gloria Lopez of Silver City; two sons, Robert Torres of Silver City; Arnold Torres and fiancé Georgette of Silver City; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eva Castillo of Palo Alto, CA; Olivia Brito (Richard) of Norwalk, CA; Esther Costales of Silver City; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Torres; her nephew but more like her son, Victor Torrez (Estella) of Las Cruces, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband David Torres ('97); two sons, Edward and David Torres Jr., three great-great-grandchildren, Quiana Torres, David Joseph Lopez and Robert Joshua Torres; two brothers, Arturo and Alfred Costales; three sisters, Eduvijen "Vicken" Costales, Magdalena Nañez and Mary "Tundi" Vasquez; sister-in-law, Lupe Costales; brothers-in-law, Manuel Nañez and Francisco "Kiko" Costales.

Viewing will be Friday, July 10 from 9:30-10:30am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to begin at 10:30am. The funeral mass will follow at Infant Jesus Shrine at 11:30am. Concluding services interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband David.

Pallbearers will be Juan Estrada, Frankie Costales, Victor Torrez, Joshua Torres, Joe Bagg, Virginia Nañez, Richard "Dickie" Brito and Peter Vasquez. Honorary pallbearers will be Lisa Ortega, Joseph Lopez, Mike Davila, Fred and Delfina Jimenez, Tony Torres and all her grandchildren.
