Carmen Jackson Gonzalez, 92, Deming resident passed away Thursday July 16, 2015 at Beehive Assisted Living Homes.

The prayer vigil was Sunday July 19, 2015 at 7 o'clock at Baca's Funeral Chapel and Mass of the Christian Burial will be Monday July 20, 2015 at 11 o'clock at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Fr. Ronald Machado will officiate. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Carmen was born May 23, 1923 in Columbus, NM to Hermenejilda Lopez and William Jackson. She worked in the clerical department for the New Mexico State Highway Department and had also worked at White Sands Missile Range. Carmen was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and the Apostolado. She was an animal lover and loved her cat, enjoyed reading and visiting with friends. After her retirement she did a lot of traveling.

She is survived by her sister, Ester Fresquez of Albuquerque and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Heremejilda Lopez and 2 sisters, Esperanza C. Benavidez and Concha Parra.
