DONNA LEE OLLEY, 74, resident of Deming passed away Wednesday July 15, 2015 at her residence.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date in her hometown of Carthage, Missouri.

Donna was born January 7, 1941 in Nevada, Missouri to Franklin Andrew and Minnie Myrtle (Young) Shumaker. She grew up near Carthage, Missouri and after retirement from Pacific Bell Telephone Company she and her husband enjoyed travelling which brought them to Deming several times in the last few years. She enjoyed writing short stories and was talented in doing pencil drawings. At one time she was a Mary Kay Consultant and also a volunteer with Meals on Wheels in Carthage, Missouri.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen H. Olley of Deming; brothers, Franklin A. Shumaker Jr. (Cathy) of Marshall, TX, W. Leon Shumaker (Wenoma) of Joplin, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and special dear friend, Betty Dempsey of Riverside, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by 1 brother, Robert W. Shumaker.
