Betty J. Woodward, 84, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, July 25, 2015 at her residence. She was born June 4, 1931 in Hurley, NM to Edward W. Ritz and Alma Bloxom.

Betty was a member and attended the Glad Tidings Church. She would maintain the bulletin boards at the church. Her love was teaching school. She was a school teacher in Hurley for grades 5th thru 8th grade.

She had a love for horses, pottery, rocks, crocheting, baking and traveling. At one time, she was a pilot. Betty is survived by one niece, Darlene; many many friends and students.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 30 from 6-8pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. The Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, July 31 at 11am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Greg Burchfield officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at Memory Lane cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Dennis, Freddie Diaz, Julian Arellin, Pete Salas, Andrew Housley and Adolf Mendivil. Honorary pallbearer will be Randy Jones.
