Carl Leland Woodward, 87, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, July 25, 2015 at his residence.

He was born June 21, 1928 in Ashland, NE to S. Frank Woodward and Pearl Ruth Fowler. Carl attended Glad Tidings Church.

He loved to attend US Army Reunions. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion. He was an Assistant Train Master for Santa Fe Railroad for 44 years before retiring in 1989. He had a love for trains and travel.

He is survived by one daughter, JoAnn Woodward Byler and husband Randy of Georgetown, TX; granddaughter, Michelle Dennis and husband Jeffrey of Frisco, TX; grandson, Matthew Byler of Georgetown, TX; great-grandsons, Corbin and Caleb Dennis of Frisco, TX. He was preceded in death by one brother, his parents, his first wife, Mildred Y. Woodward; one brother, Frank Woodward.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 30 from 6-8pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. The Funeral Service will be celebrated Friday, July 31, 2015 at 11am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Greg Burchfield officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Dennis, Freddie Diaz, Julian Arellin, Pete Salas, Andrew Housley and Adolf Mendivil. Honorary pallbearer will be Randy Jones.
