RoyGunterIIIRoy A. "Pinky" Gunter III, 76, a lifelong resident of Deming passed away Monday August 3, 2015 at his home.

Funeral services will be this Friday, August 7, 2015 at 10 o'clock in the morning at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ernie Vineyard, Pastor officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.

Pinky was born February 3, 1939 in Silver City to Roy Jr. And Genevieve (Harrington) Gunter. He graduated from Deming High School and has been a lifelong rancher in Luna County and in the Mimbres. He also was a truck driver for some time and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pauline "Polly" Gunter of the home; his son, Rusty Gunter (Shawna) of Deming; daughters, Dianna Peterson (Wesley) and Sandi Gunter of Deming, Billie Montes (Victor) of El Paso, TX; 2 sisters, Beverly Lewis of Las Cruces and Jo Ann Miller of Mimbres; and 8 grandchildren.

His mother and father have preceded him in death.

Pallbearers will be Gene Remondini, Joel Nanez, Fuzz Smyer, Wes Hooper, Steve Allen and Rod Pratz. Honorary bearers are Bud Allen, Dan Lucas Sr., Bill Foster, Joe Bill Nunn, Tom Bill Black, Tommy Brdecko, Dan Lucas Jr. And Don Cameron.
