AntoniaLChapin rsAntonia L Chapin 77, a resident of Santa Clara passed away Tuesday August 25th, 2015 in Las Cruces, NM surrounded by her family. She begin her journey as an angel on this earth on July 18, 1938, Toni was one of eleven children born to Juan Lopez and Leonor (Telles) Lopez.

Visitation will be held Monday August 31, 2015 at 5 O'clock in the evening at Baca's Funeral Chapels with the Holy Rosary recited at 6 O'clock by Deacon Bill Holguin. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 10 O'clock in the morning at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Concluding services and interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, Father Paulus Kao officiating.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Chapin Sr; children, Rudy Chapin Jr, Sylvia Chapin, Virgina Chapin, most recently siblings, Arnaldo Lopez, Joe Lopez, Tommie Barela, Sally Lucero and Son-in-Law Gary Romero Sr.

She is survived by her brother George Lopez, and her children, Linda Placencio (Spouse) Dindy, James Chapin, Cecilia Romero, Toby Padilla (Spouse) Sandra, Gladys Padilla (Companion) Robert, Daughter-in-Laws Debbie Chapin and Vangie Chapin. Grand Children Gary, Vanessa, Daniel, Brenda, Chastidy, Joshua, Crystal, Jerome, Chris, Cassandra, Bianca, Anthony, Fabian, and Rey. 15 great-grand children and one great-great-granddaughter.

Antonia's family was her passion she enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She was a true angel that would help anyone in need whether it was for family or a stranger. Her favorite pastime was cooking for family and caring for others.
