A. C. Rogers 83 of Silver City, New Mexico passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 surrounded by loved ones.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Bright Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 28, 2015 at Fort Bayard National Cemetery, at 11:00am.

A. C. is survived by his lifetime partner Phyllis Montano, two children Debra J. Ricks, Michael D. Rogers, one special grandson he raised as his own, Nathan Cuevas, six grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, brothers; Lester (Norma) Rogers, Donald (Judy) Rogers, Larry Rogers one sister Glenda (Jerry) Nelson, step children Stacey Montano, Lori Montano, Brian Montano and Elliott Montano.

Preceded in death by his parents Lee and Ula Rogers, brothers; Joel, Leonard, Bob, Randall, Ronnie, sisters; Gladys Hill, Bly Burche, Lula Montano. He was a Navy Veteran, in 1951 to 1955 and was a Boiler for the ship. He enjoyed the wildlife, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Enjoyed spending time with the family, he loved listening to music and was a Dallas Cowboy fan and Chicago Cubs fan. A.C. loved and lived life to the fulliest.
