RudyMurillo RSRudy C. Murillo, 68, of Silver City, New Mexico entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 30, 2015. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Bright Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00pm, with the viewing beginning at 5:00. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at Saint Vincent Catholic Church at 9:00am. Inurnment will be at Memory Lane Cemetery Friday, September 4, 2015 at 7:00pm.

Rudy is survived by his wife Angie Esparza Murillo, his mother Inocencia €œChencha € Murillo, mother-in-law Polly Esparza, two sons Steven Murillo, Bryan Murillo, three daughters Carla (Aaron) Cain, Serena Murillo, Michelle Murillo (fiancée Justin Hernandez), seven grandchildren Brya Murillo, Aubree Murillo, Ada Cain, Divina Cain, Justin Murillo, Jonathan Murillo, J.J. Hernandez, and Little Sophia, God-daughter Aurelia Escarcega, Godson Shawn Esparza and Albert Simpson, sisters; Maryann(Abie) Murillo, Patsy (Nick) Ivanic, brothers; Gilbert Murillo, Ralph Murillo (Janette Perrault), and brother David Murillo.

Preceded in death by his father Espiridon Murillo, brother Danny Murillo, father-in-law Margarito Esparza.

Rudy graduated from Silver High School, attended Western New Mexico University, and then married his wife Angie in 1971.

He served in the Army Reserve for four years, then became a police officer for Bayard Police Department. He went to work for Kennecott Copper Corporation as a laborer in the smelter, and from there he went back to being a deputy for the Sheriff €™s Department. He went to the mine for Phelps Dodge and worked again for the smelter and retired in 1990.

Rudy enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He had an annual fishing trip with his best friends every year.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and working on his side projects, always staying busy working in his yard and being active. Rudy had a love for his dog, Bella, and was an avid Denver Broncos fan. Rudy instilled a strong faith and love for God to his children and grandchildren. His family and those who knew him will greatly miss him.

Pallbearers will be Jesus Rojas, Dennis Sisneros, David Horcasitas, Larry Martinez, Bobby Duarte, Shawn Esparza, Larry Madrid and Albert Cardoza. Honorary Pallbearer will be his uncle Waldo Murillo.
