 Born in Colorado Springs, CO on October 13, 1922 to Elwood Truman Haas and Margaret Josephine (Brady) Haas. Her siblings included Marjorie, Irene, Rosemary, Patricia and Elwood. Joan was the mother of five boys, Richey (Lynova) of Riverside, Larry of Silver City, Corky (deceased), Rene of Silver City and Floyd (Brenda) of Riverside.

Joan was known as JoJo to her 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She married Floyd €œBud € Clark (deceased) of Cliff, NM and raised her children on a farm on the Gila River. She moved to Tyrone in 1967 with her company, and married Billy Joe Clark (no relation). Joan spent the next thirty years living north of Silver City.

She retired from the US Forest Service after 23 years.

JoJo went to rest on September 14, 2015 at Fort Bayard Medical Center.

A small Rosary and family memorial will be held on Friday, September 25th at 10 a.m. at the Mesa Cemetery in Gila, NM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Gila Regional Medical Center Foundation, POB 857, Silver City, NM 88062. Bright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
