EleuterioDominguez RSELEUTERIO DOMINGUEZ C., a longtime resident of Hidalgo County passed away Tuesday September 29, 2015 in the comfort of his home.

Visitation will be Saturday morning, October 3, 2015 from 9 to 10 at St. Joseph €™s Catholic Church where a prayer vigil will begin at 10 o €™clock led by Reverend Mr. Jorge Campos. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 at with Fr. John Weber, Pastor officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.

Eleuterio was born April 27, 1927 in Rancho del Refugio, Chihuahua, Mexico to Mariano and Nemesia (Contreras) Dominguez. He worked for several years in the Animas Valley and eventually in 1963 brought his family to join him. Later in 1992 he and his family moved to Lordsburg where they have made their home for the last 23 years. He worked on local farms and has always been very active with the church and willing to assist anywhere he could. His family remembers him as being a very good handyman with exceptional work ethics and being the responsible person he was made his family extremely proud.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Esther Dominguez of Lordsburg; daughters, Lourdes Compos, (Jorge) of Springerville, AZ, Irma Diaz (Victor) of Lordsburg; sons, Luis Dominguez of Gilbert, AZ, Eloy Dominguez (Susan) of Tracy, CA; brothers, Armando Dominguez (Juanita) of Animas, Alfonso Dominguez of Las Cruces, Arturo Dominguez of Aldama, Chihuahua, Mexico; sister, Ana Maria Andujo of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico; 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 8 sisters, Isabel Dominguez, Rosario Dominguez, Maria Elena Dominguez, Genoveva Corona, Maria Refugio Hermosillo, Francisca Gonzalez, Petra Orozco, and Socorro Dominguez; and by 1 granddaughter, Brittany Dominguez.
