Antonio L. Andazola, born December 28, 1927 in Fierro, NM to Miguel and Esther Luera Andazola passed in his home on October 27, 2015 surrounded by his family.

Tony was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was married to his wife of 65 years, Mary Lou. He just celebrated his anniversary on Oct 23rd.

He worked and retired from Kennecott/Phelps Dodge as a Haulage truck driver operator. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, also a die hard Chicago Cubs fan.

Tony enjoyed being with his family especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou of the family home; eight sons, Michael Andazola of Fierro; Robert Andazola(Vicki) of Tucson, AZ; Tony "Sonny" Andazola Jr. of Bayard; Ruben Andazola(Molly) of Silver City; Jerry Andazola(Josie) of Bayard; Richard Rivera of Sand Diego, CA; Jimmy Rivera of Atlanta, GA; Manny Rivera(Esmeralda) of Florence, AZ; three daughters, Mary Eva Solis(David) of Tucson, AZ; Sarah Sedillos(Jimmy) of San Manuel, AZ; Susie Andazola of Bayard; thirty-four grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mercedes Tovar of Santa Clara; Lugarda Martinez(Alfredo) of Santa Clara.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Yolanda Rivera; one sister, Ernestina Apodaca.

Visitation will be Friday, October 30 from 9-10am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to begin at 10am with Deacon Jerry Bustillos reciting. The funeral liturgy will follow at 11:30 at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Father Paulus Kao officiating. Concluding services interment with full military honors will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael, Robert, Tony Jr., Ruben, Jerry and Miguel Jr. Andazola, and Richard Rivera. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Ojinaga, Manny Rivera, Jimmy Rivera, and the rest of his grandchildren.
