Maria U. Negrete, 77, Deming resident passed away Tuesday November 3, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will begin Thursday afternoon November 5, 2015 at 2 o'clock at Baca's Funeral Chapel. with the prayer vigil to follow that evening at 6. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Friday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Fr. Jesus Martinez officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Maria was born March 15, 1938 in Deming to Encarnacion Flores and Jesus Uzueta. She was a homemaker and a communicant of St. Ann's Catholic Church. She loved to dance, listen to music, cooking, playing cards and doing book puzzles.

Survivors include her daughter, Carmen Arias and companion Eddie Arenibas of Deming; 3 brothers, George Uzueta and wife Lydia of Las Cruces, Alex Uzueta and wife Stella, Edward Uzueta and companion Ruth all of Deming; sister, Martha Uzueta and companion Pedro Loredo; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Encarnacion Uzueta and numerous brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Michael and Eric Arias, Adrian Parra, Patrick Uzueta, Manny Lucero and T.J. Saucedo.
