Kenneth W. Dorsey, 84, passed away quietly at home Monday, November 23, 2015 after a long illness.

He was born January 13, 1931 in Wellington, Texas to Ocie Dorsey and Lillie Mae Hood Dorsey. He was a longtime resident of Silver City who faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Army and retired after 40 years from Chino Mines as a Shovel Operator. He was well known for his mechanical skills and paint and body work. Kenneth loved the outdoors and was an avid boater and fisherman.

He is survived by his daughter, Gail Gomez and husband Walter of Las Cruces, NM; niece Lisa Wiseman and her children, Amber, Nickolas and Cassidy Foley all of Denver, CO; a nephew, Adam Wiseman and wife Jodi and their children Kendall and Christian of Cumming, Iowa. As well as numerous cousins that were more like siblings.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Josie R. Dorsey, his daughter June Reeve and his last life partner of six years, Virginia Holloway.

At Kenneth's request, cremation has taken place and his cremains will be interned at Ft. Bayard National Cemetery on December 2, 2015 at 1 O'clock in the afternoon.
